Open the .dmg and drag Ali PDF Editor to Applications. macOS will ask once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet. Agree and continue.

Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu > About This Mac: "Chip: Apple M…" means Apple Silicon; "Processor: Intel" means Intel.

First launch

Mac: open the .dmg and drag Ali PDF Editor to Applications. The app is code-signed and notarized; macOS asks once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet. Agree and continue.

Windows: run the installer. SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" for a new publisher: click More info, then Run anyway.

Installing does not make Ali PDF Editor your default PDF app. It appears under "Open With" for PDF files, and you decide when to make it the default.

Filling out your first scanned form

Open the scan, click Detect Forms in the toolbar, then click a green box and type. Help > Guide in the app walks through it, with signing, redacting and pages.
